Our summer 2019 wine release events are scheduled for Saturday, June 8 and Saturday, June 15 from 11AM to 5PM each day. We hope you can join us!
We will be releasing our 2015 Red Willow Vineyard David’s Block Bordeaux blend ($38), our 2016 Red Willow Vineyard Sangiovese ($25) and our 2018 Boushey Vineyard Chardonnay ($28).
Our 2015 Red Willow Vineyard David’s Block is a field blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Malbec, 9% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petite Verdot. The wine has a rich color with aromas of plum, sandalwood, and tobacco. There is a spiciness in the mouth and a lingering finish. Total production: 200 cases. Alc: 14.5%. Retail price: $38/bottle.
Our 2016 Red Willow Vineyard Sangiovese is a blend of two clones of Sangiovese. Ruby-garnet colored, this wine shows a typical varietal nose of bright dried cherry, raspberry, and black pepper. Total production: 200 cases. Alc: 14.2%. Retail price: $25/bottle.
Our 2018 Boushey Vineyard Chardonnay includes four clones of Chardonnay that have been co-fermented. The wine was partially barrel fermented and aged on the lees. The wine has a distinct Chardonnay fruit nose and a silky mouthfeel with bright acidity. Total production: 200 cases. Alc: 14.5%. Retail price: $28/bottle.
For club owners, we recommend an assortment of the three wines explained above; however, you are welcome to make substitutions with any Eight Bells wine. If we don't see you at one of our release events or hear from you by email (info@8bellswinery.com), we will charge your credit card during the week of June 17 for the recommended bottles.
As with release events in the past, we will feature the work of local artists. We are pleased to have the Meraki Art Group (Gina Holt, Debbie Tomassi, Marjorie Thompson, Carolle Foucault, Kammie Saunders, and Colette Highberger) join us for this release.
The parking lot on the corner of 62nd Street and the alley will be available to you during the release events. We are also happy to meet you in the alley with your wine if you don’t have time to stop in and taste.
We look forward to sharing our new wines with you.
Andy, Denise, Frank, Neal, and Tim
